A few weeks ago, my son texted me out of nowhere: "97 agents, 9.4 million tokens. 1.5 hours. But I saw the future."

He was talking about Fable 5. He'd been using it, and he was floored. So of course I had to try it.

At the time, I'd been vibe coding KeyLearnings.ai in Cursor for weeks. It was maybe 80% done, but I'd stalled — grinding away without much progress. So I handed the whole project to Fable 5 and asked it to take over.

The first thing it said made me laugh out loud: "Before I agree to take on this project, let me review the current code." It wanted to look under the hood before committing. Then it agreed — and about two hours later, it was done. Not just done. Better than I'd imagined.

It had its own ideas, and it didn't ask permission — it just did them. It spun up teams of agents to test the platform without me asking. I was easily 100x more productive. My mind was buzzing. The possibilities felt endless.

And then the notification came: the U.S. government, citing national security, had shut it down. Ugh.

Fable 5 — I miss you.

But for a couple of hours, I saw the future. And it was incredible.
