On a scale of 1-10 — by Dan Lynn

Here's something I've said my whole career. On a scale of 1 to 10 — 1 being the worst, 10 being the best — a 1 is better than a zero.
A lot of people wait for the 10. They want the perfect plan, the perfect moment, the perfect version. So they sit there and do nothing. And nothing is a zero.
But a 1 — something imperfect, something started — beats a zero every time. Because you can improve a 1. You can turn it into a 4, then a 7. You can't improve a zero. There's nothing there to build on.
Don't wait for perfect. Do something. Take action, get it moving, and make it better from there. A 1 is always better than a zero.
